F type wont crank
Hi there I used to have an account here but I completely lost it so thats why I may be skipping an intro thread or whatever you used to be required to do.
I have a 2016 F type R AWD I just did the timing on and checked it with all the tools before zipping it back together and the vehicle wont turn over.
The vehicle turns on but wont make any effort to turn over. I have this code p0a0f-07 that keeps returning, Alldata says to check the starter.
There was a P2169-13 but I cleared it and it did not come back
Alldata says to look at the starter.
Even if the timing is off I would think it would have made an effort to turn over?
I just jiggled the wires on my starter but it looked like everything was fine.
Can bad timing cause it to not want to even try to turn over? I have not experienced that before. All the jobs I can remember doing timing on any vehicle it would at least turn over, just not run the best.
I do still have a stage 3 tune on it from VAP but I didnt think there was anything I needed to reset. Even if there was an option for reset CPS Id think it would not be the best to do if I have VAP pulleys on it.
I have an autel scanner and I am a technician just not for jlr.
Does this sound more like I didn't tighten up my starter well enough or my battery just being too drained? The battery was very low but I have an anti gravity battery that I hit the button for jump start.
I followed step by step the JLR alldata instructions for everything and I've worked on this car a lot so I'm pretty familiar with it.
I replaced the sparks and cleaned the injectors. I did turn the engine over 2 times as stated in the instructions to check timing.
Not probably of any importance but I did clean the valves with walnut shell when the intercooler was off.
During the job I did replace all four gears.
Im going to let it charge overnight.
