Trying to separate fact from opinions and fiction on the model year where the V8 coolant pipe issue was finally resolved.
The final factory fix.
Thinking about moving from the P300 to an R model....... MAYBE

@Thunderjet Racing Something to think about. While the coolant pipes were "upgraded" from 2 piece welded to solid one piece pipes, there have been reports of issues with them. Some say that the flange on the y pipe that fit into the engine block has failed on some cars. Some say it was not a failure of the pipe but was broken during the removal of said pipe. Either way, it is still plastic. The metal upgrade is not that difficult or expensive if you can DIY. I've recently done it and also the rear heater manifold pipe, thermostat housing and coolant pump. I sleep better knowing it's pretty leak proof now. And remove the D@mn symposer while your in there!
Good luck with the search.

So if you are looking to buy a newish P450 or R you don't have to worry about the stoopid symposer.
