I just called Fidelity to get a quote for their platinum plan. I asked for a list of dealerships near me that sell the plan, and they said dealerships only sell the plan with the car, and that they'll connect me with a third party who sells it over the phone. After talking to the next guy, I got quoted $5500 or so for 48k/48month coverage under Platinum warranty. $250 deductible. And that's for a 2016 F-Type R Coupe with 34k miles on it (still a year of warranty left).

Meanwhile, MaxCare is offering $2899 with $100 deductible for 75k/60month, and Mercury's Platinum insurance is basically the same but for 60k miles instead.

MaxCare seems to be exclusionary, so wouldn't it be pretty similar to Fidelity Platinum?

 

Why not just pay your dealer to CPO your car?
