Here are pics of my 2015 Firesand F-Type R. This was taken at the Jaguar Owners Club Concours d 'Elegance in San Diego where it won 1st place in the driven class.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all and what a informative and knowledgeable fun group of owners. They even have a sense of humor with sarcasm thrown in for good measure. Love it. Helped me with all questions and keeps me informed of potential issues. THANKS 👍 Coast of New Hampshire. My favorite color but F types look good in every color. Firesand, is certainly a beautiful color which will never blend in and help you find your jag parked amongst every car. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year.

Everyone seems to like Firesand but are not brave enough to buy the car in that color. The very first F-Type I ever saw was in Firesand and as soon as I saw it I had to get one.
BTW I have done Car Guru searches many times for Firesand F-Types and if there are a few hundred F-Types nationwide there are usually only 4 to 6 in Firesand.
It is a stunning color. But perhaps the scarcity could be due to the premium cost add on for the Firesand color ? I don't know what it was when new, but the current Sanguinello Orange is a $4550 option vs. a $750 to $1550 option for the metallic or premium metallic colors.
Why is Firesand such a rare color?!?? I don’t understand why there are so few Firesand cars. I thought it was a featured color for the F Type.
I really like my white 16 Type R, but I’d love to find a reasonably priced Type R.
I think that Jaguar thought Firesand Orange would be hard to sell so they just made fewer. I know they pushed it hard for 2014 when it was released.
However for the 2015 model year Polaris White was the press car color.
It will be tough to find a 2016 F-Type R in Firesand Orange. From the 2015 F-Type R data that I have completed I can make a very educated guess that there are less than 90 Firesand Orange 2015 F-Type Rs out of the approximate ~1500 that came to the US. I would expect a similar number for the 2016 model year as well so you have a small pool to choose from. It was also availabe for 2017 so if you include that in your search you’re looking for 1 in ~200. Slightly better odds but will still be a hard find.

If I remember correctly the Firesand was about a $5000 option. Bought my car used so I don't have the Monroney sticker.
Being drastically colorblind.....
it looks HIDEOUS. I miss alot of cool things in that respect although gain in others..
Merry Christmas Blessings to all⁸

You can order a reproduction window sticker from "MonroneyLabels.com" for a few dollars. The one I got for my 2016 was spot on as far as the options were concerned - not sure of the accuracy of the prices.

Oh man I came so close to doing Sanguinello orange on mine. Just couldn't justify the cost.
Here is Firenze and Sanguinello next to eachother.
I love the firesand and would have bought one if I could have found one when I bought mine in 2018. The first F Type I ever saw in person was a firesand convertible when the F Type first came out. The salesman that had previously sold me my XF took me for a ride about an hour after it had rolled off of the truck. I still don't think I've ever made it to about 100 mph so quickly in my life...
When I was looking for a new 2015 F-Type R coupe, Firesand was off my list since it looked awful on the online configurator. When I saw an F-Type in Firesand at the 2015 San Diego Auto Show, the color jumped to the top of my list. I lucked out since no other dealer in the area or LA had the color in stock and the local dealer had the car on the lot for a while so got a decent deal on the car. I have only seen one other Firesand in San Diego and it is a convertible.
At first glance it is quite stunning but I think it wears poorly.
The Ftypeforums.co.uk site has a firesand vert at the top of its login page.
It is starting to drive me nuts seeing it every time I log in!!
Wish they would change the model/color (sorry, colour)
Someone on the form said it before.... Firesand - the color everyone likes, but few people bought.
It's a bold color, but not many Jaguar shoppers are typically that bold. I'm not surprised there aren't that many of them around. I'm the same, I like the way it looks in photos but I don't want to own one.
I wanted a color I would not tire of when I bought my car.
And I wanted something just a little different...where I am located 80% of cars are now white/silver/grey/black. So I went looking for blue, green, and red if tasteful (like Ferrari).
Ended up with Sapphire Blue and love it. It has not diminished in my mind at all...actually gone up in wow over the short time I've had it.
Having had a very bright car once and having spoken to many there are reasons to avoid a color like the one in this topic:
1. It attracts too much attention. Not all attention is good. But it is also fun....one can get tired of the attention....
2. It hides the lines of the car. I think some colors make a car's design stand out and others mute it. To me, this color mutes it. Just my opinion. And yes, I have seen one in person and even considered buying one for a long time that was a good deal.
3. If you ever have an accident, matching it might be absolutely horrendous (or not, have no idea, but it is something I think about) Red is like that. Red is really hard to match...this may be up there. Black is easy of course. A family member once had a red car stolen and rolled. They could never ever get the color right on the panels that got repaired....top end shops mind you that were places people took MB gullwings to.for restorations and paint...
My sapphire blue car gets compliments every day from complete strangers. Not sure the orange would. It seems to be "trying too hard."
I personally like the orange a lot...but in 6m I'd be bored of it. Just me. Sometimes I like not being noticed immediately.....the blue does it for me. BRG would too.
My car looks like this one I found via google. The day I bought two other couples were in line to buy it.....it was, per one wife, the best blue she'd ever seen....and her husband told me she was against buying any new car but "that blue" F-type.....the F-type does that to people......all the colors are beautiful and I think the orange is neat. But if I were to do an orange car it would be a 997gt3rs. Just me. I like BRG too and the limitted 60y colors a bit too...but not as much as this blue. Timeless. I cannot say the orange is timeless and for me that ruins it for an F-type.
best

Not a lot of people want an orange car. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the color, just calling it like it is. Lots of black and white cars out there because those colors sell.
