Default Flappy Paddles ( sorry I have listed this thread twice in error and do not know how

I have not liked the stock paddles from day 1, cheap plastic covered in a bronze rubberized paint that turns to sticky goo as soon as you are out of warranty .
So I decided to replace with new and after looking at all of the options decided to go with aluminum ( spell check hates "aluminium" ) from JLR, They used to list at the dealer for $650 in plain satin finish but now seem to be priced at $160 at most Jag dealerships, I was about to bite the bullet with Harpers when he mentioned they have some snazzy anodized red, they looked nice but I wasn't sure about introducing another color into the cabin, and then he told me the price $650.00 ! wow.
Long story short, I found a brand new in the box pair on EBay for $250.00 and I must say they look the dog's bollocks in satin red. I love em and the shifter feel is so much better with rigid metal than plastic.
One tip for any one changing these out, each side is held in place with one T20 screw on the rear black plastic section, take out the screws then squeeze the electric wire connector loose and replace, here is the tip, and this will save a lot of frustration, position the new ones in place and hold them there with blue masking tape ( leaving the hole open of course) and then stick a magnet on your driver to hold the screw in place while you are standing on your head.
I cannot think what Jaguar was thinking with the plastic and come to think of it that rubberised paint is on the center cvonsole too.
and , Oh, do not worry about fitment by year, I have a 2014 V8S and the dealers parts catalogs state they are not compatible for the early model years when in fact they are.
