Default Front facing camera for 2016?

I don't think there are any options out there, but just wanted to be sure.

I'm looking for a front facing camera for a 2016 F-Type. I already have the backup camera. NAV tv does do front facing cameras but they only have versions that work till MY2015, because of the changes to the head unit in 2016.

Are there any other options out there or is NAV tv the only company that does this sort of stuff?

thanks, glad I asked! Any chance you can have one ready for me sooner? My front bumper is coming off soon and I'd like to get this installed as well if possible at the same time

Would be very nice if it were engaged exactly the same way as the forward sensors (with the front sensor button or automatically when going forward right after being in reverse).

I've seen aftermarket ones but it's not seamless (you mount a little LCD somewhere)

That won't be happening in my car. It's a no-go unless fully integrated.

I believe there's an older thread about Nav TV's offerings for pre 2016 models - if I recall, front and rear cameras are just like OEM - they work through the Nav system.

Hopefully there's a better solution to the physical front camera, since most of us have the Sto n Sho bracket, a license plate dreams camera will not be compatible

What does a non-physical camera look like?

Wow, just re-read my post, sorry was on my lunch break.

What I meant was, maybe a camera that could be physically mounted to the bumper grill without looking out of place, rather than some dinky license plate frame camera. Similar to how the newer Audi A7's that have it integrated into the front grill

Any update now that it's almost March?

The website lists the 2015 version but with a 2016 note:

https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT58...-type-cam.html

NOTE: if ordering for a 2016 Jaguar F-Type, the module will require a special file and is wire trigger (for reverse activation) only.
What's a "special file" and how exactly is the camera it activated? Can it be activated without having to be in Reverse?

Digging into the zip archive under Files on the webpage, it contains a 2016 folder with a readme saying:

THIS FILE IS FOR 2016 JAG F TYPE ONLY

YOU MUST TAP REVERSE AND CONNECT TO INPUT 1 (FORCE REAR) FOR PROPER FUNCTIONALITY.
And it includes what is likely the "special file", titled rr2015-rvc4_wire_Julian (1).enc. However I can't find instructions on how to use/update with these files.

Why don't you call them?

And report back with answers! I'd totally buy a front camera but not if it only works once the car has been put in reverse.
