Hello all, my 2017 FTR is surging during acceleration. I am thinking fuel pump(s), any thoughts on where to start this diagnosis? The car only has 15,000 miles.

 

Any codes? I had an issue in mine where it would randomly lose power briefly during acceleration which turned out to be the electrical connector on the pump not beng fully seated. Now fixed it's been trouble-free ever since.

 

Thanks for the quick response, no codes, but I'll check again. I've been told there are three fuel pumps on these cars, one in the gas tank and two on the passenger side block.

 

There are two high-pressure fuel pumps on the engine; this AJ133 training manual discusses them in detail. (Max pressure: 2100psi!)
