I upgraded my headlights recently to the LED versions its plug and play FYI with updated DRLs. This will only work for 2014-2017 xenon models. These are oem headlights the DRLs were converted to sequential.

So what are the impressions so far? Looks like they also have versions for the facelift cars with the LED lights.

 

The led headlights are better than the factory xenons I say about 40% more light output. All the factory functions work the sequential turn signals are nice give it a modern touch. Overall these upgraded headlights give the F-Type a more modern aggressive look which I like.

 

The new version appears to be matrix led style. These just came out the light output seems brighter.

 

so are these the entire assembly or just the LED string?

 

@ftypedreams this is very exciting as I'd like to upgrade the stock headlights in my 2016 f-type. Can you please provide more information as to how easy / difficult it was to swap them out? Were the instructions included very clear or more typical cryptic Chinese deciphering?

 

Having recently had my microcracked headlights (VisionPack) replaced, I will be interested in seeing, long term (more than a year), how these work out... How was the 'upgrade' to the headlights done? Did the selling company obtain used HLs and then open them up and replace the lighting? What was done, if anything to the lenses? Another issue with F headlights is moisture intrusion to the inside.

Would all functions of the described Vision Pack work?

Also it appears there are 2 types of led headlights and ftypedreams has the more original version. Can we see some more pics of the setup please?

 

I doubt the rotation function would work on those, but the automatic high beam should since the trigger/sensor is from a camera in the rear view mirror housing from what I understand

 

I contacted the seller on Alibaba who has the 3 beam version and asked them to send me the installation instructions. Once I have it I'll post here

 

This is entire assemblies they are oem they just upgraded the DRLs to sequential and come with wiring harness for xenon models The new matrix style I am not for sure. I just got the oem ones it plugs directly into the xenon harness. Also all the functions work with the headlights and no lights on the dash. Far as installation its plug and play I had my tech install my set. Here is an install video of headlights if you prefer DIY.

Interesting, so no issues with the car letting you know that there wasn't an original part in it?

 

Nice that there is a well integrated aftermarket option. I wouldn't want to lose the "eyes" of the projector on our 2016. I'd just retrofit the morimoto mled 2.0 bi-led projector to keep the OEM look with the factory bezels.

 

Like I stated before they are oem and come with the harness thats already coded to work with xenon models. They are plug and play all factory functions work and there are no lights on the dash. Nice simple swap to modernize your F-Type and better lighting output compared to xenons.

 

Did you have adaptive lighting before the installation where the headlights swivel during low-speed cornering? If so, do the new units also swivel?

 

Is a "pack" both lights?
