George v. JLRNA Infotainment Settlement
JLR North America agreed to settle this class-action lawsuit over defects in InControl Touch Pro systems, and the U.S. federal court in New Jersey granted its final approval of the settlement last October. I had previously been notified I was a member of the class (as owner of a 2020 F-Type, one of many other Jag models included) but I've received no further updates. Presumably, JLR appealed the supposedly final settlement for some reason (as was explained could happen) despite its prior agreement. Yet I can find no more recent information about the case at its official website:

Phoning the info number given there yields nothing more than a recording reiterating what the website already says.
Does anyone here know anything more about this?

Immediately after making the above post, I saw a set of related hyperlinks underneath that had this one at the top:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...update-290305/
It links to a JLR service bulletin that appears to stem from the settlement but pertains only to F-Types up through model year 2019. (The bulletin covers software updates to be done at JLR service centers to enable further over-the-air InControl Touch Pro software updates.)
I'm guessing my 2020 F-Type was belatedly deemed unaffected by the defects that prompted the lawsuit. Does anyone know if there had been any notifications issued to that effect?

If it applies to your vehicle it will show up as a warranty extension or service campaign in the system, I can check if you give me your VIN. Latest software for IMC systems was 22A, it has not been updated since 2022, so if you are on the latest version, there is no change for you. The only advantage is if the system dies when out of warranty you have an extra year of coverage, which includes the maps download needed for the new IMC module.

I had thought I should get what the settlement provides, if just to get a warranty extension on ICTP, but I'd actually prefer to avoid any potential glitches that might be inadvertently introduced by JLR service. I've never experienced any of the worst problems that prompted the class action, like dropped Bluetooth connections or blanked-out touchscreens, etc., so I'll just leave well enough alone. And I'm still getting the monthly map updates I paid for on a 3-year plan I bought early this year when my original and CPO warranties expired.
