I think the tubing is more bling than go-fast, but I don't have any of it. The pulleys count, although without a tune you'll have problems. If you really meant plural on pulleys, the lower is the one that really makes a difference. The upper is just a couple of percent.

If you read the threads on this forum about the subject you will find the Mina stuff won't do much except allow more SC whine. The pulleys are effective but they won't help without a tune to take advantage of them. Lizardo beat me to the punch.

Most use VAP. But there are others that I don't recall.

People have reported problems withSC drive belt slippage because they installed it incorrectly or were supplied the wrong belt. Some reported cat problems but I don't think it was ever proven it was the tune. I'm sure others will chime in.

I've heard that if you install a lower pulley but no tune you'll develop boost beyond stock specifications and get a CEL. I haven't confirmed that myself but have no reason to doubt it. It is certainly what I'd expect. Even if it didn't throw codes you'd get very limited benefit. The stock tables don't include boost pressures that high.

As noted, most here that have a tune use VAP. There are a few reasons, but perhaps the most influential is that VAP is active on this forum. Many of us have tens of thousands of miles with their tunes. I've got 32K miles with mine, although only the last 1000 or so with the pulley too. Blame COVID for that. I've been averaging two months per tank instead of ten days.

I have the Mina that arrived last week and wondering if it is worth it to even install. I have read so many on here say it does nothing but add SC wine.

That depends on what you're looking to get from it. If you want more SC whine, sure. If you're hoping for more power, that's not the way to go.

Don't tell the guy on the F Type Facebook page that. He swears he's getting 10-15 bhp just from K&N filters.

Like any car I have had I look to get better airflow and typically the stock air boxes could be improved. Also since I do plan on a pulley and tune figured this made sense as a starting point. The added SC wine is a bonus.

OK. I won't mention it to him. He's probably got enough people already telling him he's going to ruin his MAFs.

You were asking if it was worthwhile but you'd already bought it. Might as well install it.

I don't think stock airboxes are as far from optimal as they were in the Old Days. The engine is also forced induction, so I don't expect it would make a noticeable difference, although perhaps a measurable one. If I got one it would be no expectation of change other than looks and SC whine. I certainly would not expect more power since the intake system is fine for the V8. I'm not sure what you're got. It would be helpful to add that to your sig for discussions like this.

If someone has back to back measurements that back up power claims I'll amend my thinking as appropriate.
