Default Got Asked To Pull Over!!

Yep I was! It was by a nice fellow that wanted to TAKE PICTURES of the car

Great compliment fot the Indigo Blue F Type for sure.

I didn’t mind and others (walking) stopped to look. Yep it is an attention getter. Especially by the beach here in So. Cal.

Default my stories

Had one guy in an older Viper pull up next to me in traffic, was ignoring him because I thought he wanted to race (and I didn't want to die) turned out he just wanted to give me a thumbs up. Guy in a new Mercedes sports car did much the same thing. People seem to really love the car.

Depending on the generation of Viper it was an the level of mods you'd have beaten him in a straight line if you have a V8 S.

Probably right, we have newer Viper in the club it is clearly more powerful but it doesn't hook up that well even with traction control. Thing was it was in traffic and I don't take that kind of a risk. Too much chance of collateral damage if something goes wrong.

Totally agree about the risk on the street. I owned a Gen 2 and Gen 3 Viper (both lightly modded and high-11 second cars on street tires) and I'm positive that a stock V8S will beat a stock Gen 2 or Gen 3 Viper in a straight line and I'm pretty sure that on the street or on an unprepped drag strip the V8S would beat either of my old Vipers as well because of its ability to hook up better than the Vipers. Vipers are not easy cars to launch successfully so they require quite a bit of practice to do so, making it likely you would have smoked the guy next to you as long as he wasn't in a Gen 4 or Gen 5 Viper.

Default Viper

I took the club's Gen 5 out and had a motorcycle race me on the on ramp, the Viper went sideways and the bike disappeared in the rear. It was fun, wife however was not impressed. I couldn't take the noise though it was fun for a few miles but it was way to loud in the cab.

I get compliments but also hatred. Driving around NYC and I got yelled at "Nice Pe$$$". Last night, the car was dusty and someone scribbled "F*** Y**" on the hood.

I have never had anything but compliments. Is the hatred part a NYC thing?

Haters usually feel the US government should have given them one for good behavior along with their regular check in the mail.... I'm over it.
