Default Gyrodyne wheels

Hey new guy here but have a been a floater for some time. Just picked a 2017 f type in ebony, I absolutely love the car! But , it's a base but even though the wheels are awesome for base I am still wondering where I could maybe get Gyrodyne wheels for the best price. I've done a little bit of looking around but no luck just a few spare wheels here and there on ebay. Also it is a lease any opinions if it is worth it. If not Gyrodyne then maybe orbit wheels.

thanks!

https://midwestwheelandtire.com/whee...pe/2015-f-type

You'll need 9.0" wide for the front, 10.5" for the rear.

I guess all black wheels would be a little too much?

Gyrodynes are typically $550 or so each plus shipping. Have you looked at other aftermarket options?

You want the Gyrodynes that are all silver or the ones with the silver edge face and black inlays?

There are lighter, better looking (IMO) aftermarket rims. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...5/#post1563159

The "window" or inlay on the diamond turned Gyrodyne wheels are not black, they are ammonite grey. I know, it's my OEM wheel on a 2015 Ebony R Coupe.

Yes I get it - on a black car especially - black accents vs all black. The gyrodynes powdercoated all black on other colors do look great.

You have a very nice F-Coupe almost looks lowered from that rear pic. I've sworn off black cars for life, however with the new ceramic 9H or other coatings, I may rethink that as a future color - water beads off, no swirl marks, etc.

thank you for the kind words, yeah I might pull the trigger i just don't know if it's worth the money especially since it's a lease.

But this is my first black car and i love it, over here the dealer does curiosity car washes for free so whenever I pass by I will go

Check out the freight from GB. Might still be cheaper to buy from Midwest Wheel.

Yes I've noticed the inlay is gray on those but the description everywhere seems to be 'black' Gyrodynes which is confusing.

The wheels are actually painted the 'storm grey', the face machined to expose bare alloy and then the wheel is clear coated. They suit the darker color cars very well, but damn are they heavy.

are they really? I love the oem wheel options , I can't even find aftermarket wheels that look as good as the oem designs imo

The link I posted above are the only non-EOM reasonably-priced wheels I have seen. I believe they are available in alum/silver as well as black and save about 45lbs all around.

I made an offer on a 2015 R with Gyrodynes yesterday and am torn between powdercoating them black or getting the aftermarket 45lb lighter option. I don't track cars but if a did it would be an easy decision.

Since you are leasing OEM wheels will be easier to re-sell at lease end then aftermarket wheels.

Watch out for free car washes on a black car- even by a dealer. I wouldn't trust a car wash on my black FType to anyone but myself!
