Hard Wired Battery Tender- Front bumper
I like to have easy access direct plug in battery Tender charging when I am not driving my vehicles. So today, I spent a little time and created a direct connection under the front bumper.
The positive wire was bolted to the small jumping panel under the front hood with the negative connected to the frame using a pre-existing bolt that had other wires doing the same. Then a small notch was cut on the Red cover to allow the wire to exit without being pinched. (The smaller cover will not fit over the panel so I removed it completely.)
I now have an external, easy accessible, Battery Tender hook up for when the Jag is in hibernation. Previously I had been using the rear hood battery access until I put her on the lift.
Simple to do and very easy access so those intimated by these types of projects don't be.
Walt

It's certainly very creative, Walt, but I'd rather open the trunk to plug it in rather than get on my knees looking for the plug-in under the front nose. The pigtail is also protected in the trunk against road dirt, grime, and debris. The trunk lid closes easily over the small BT cable, and I have the pigtail routed to a point just under the trunk latch.
If you're doing most of your storing on a lift, I certainly see why it's more convenient for you.
