My 2016 R appears to need bank 2, sensor 3 replaced. The dealer wants $300 for OEM and looks like Rock Auto and locally they are under $100. Did anyone use non OEM with decent success? I don't know how finicky the Jaguar is to sensors. And is this sensor easy enough to access? It appears to be the furthest from the engine, drivers side.

That should be covered under the extended warranty on O2 sensors. Dealer is not telling you this? Someone will come along with the factory notice.

BTW I replaced the same sensor several years ago with an OEM one and back then they were ~$200 - that was before the new warranty was put into effect,

It is good to know it is covered. I also have an extended warranty if it didn't and I do have an appointment on Tuesday to take it in, but someone replied to another thread and said the dealer may download the updated software and take the exhaust note away. And I literally just got the car back a few weeks ago for the TSB on the overflow tank. And when I went to pick it up the kid in service that chases the car down shut the door on the front fascia of my car. They had to replace the Xpel and re ceramic the front. Not a huge fan of the dealer unless it is necessary. I just got off the phone with them and they are now just over $300 for that sensor. I would take it in if nobody has feedback on aftermarket.

I know several people on this forum said they had success with aftermarket sensors and even provided part numbers. If you search you will probably easily find the relevant threads.

Thanks. Mine is a 2016 but would imagine it is still covered without using my extended. I researched and found the OEM is Bosch but the Oreillys locally would need approval to special order and they are $115. I will just take it to the appointment I have at the dealer. Hate going if I don't have to but under these circumstances I might as well. And I did a forum search and didn't see what I was looking for. Appreciate the input.

Any idea of extended coverage on the catalytic converters - I thought they were 8/80k from the factory but an extension would be great.

I had my check engine light come today and it was the same O2 sensor (bank 2 sensor 3). NAPA had a NTK 25752 in stock and it was around $130, they also listed a Bosch that was a little cheaper but not in stock
I’ve had my S with the VelocityAP Stage 3 tune for 2 1/2 years and this is the first issue I’ve had. Talk about an easy job, it took way longer to go pick the sensor up than it did to change it out. The NTK was identical except the wire as a few inches longer.

In my other vehicles, I always pick a Bosch O2 sensor as the replacement. Absolutely zero issues. OEM or better quality.

I believe when I researched it a guy with a YouTube channel replaced his and cross referenced the part number. According to what he researched it was a Bosch sensor.
