Default Has Anyone Had This Happen?

See Pic. I started my car the other day and noticed the illumination on the HVAC knobs was out. You know - the ones that normally indicate seat heating and air temperature. Very odd. They came back later that day and have worked fine since. (Is this a design feature to make one nostalgic for the electrical gremlins of Jaguars past ;-)

Anyway - thought I'd share. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think someone else reported it at some point. I'd let the dealer know.

I've noticed maybe 2-3 times over the past 1.5 yrs of driving it that the lights on the dash go dim for about a minute usually upon first start up and then turn back to their original brightness. Figured it was just a little bug not worth complaining about...yet. Nothing with the knobs though like you.

Reviving this thread. My heated seat/temperature readouts have gone blank as well. Any new thoughts on a fix.

The first thing, always, is to make sure that your battery is fully charged. Yes, I know, the car always starts…but random electrical issues on these cars are very often (in fact, most often) caused by insufficient battery power…you should look at other possibilities only after verifying battery output.

Thanks for the response! Guess what, the lights came back on later. Jaguar Gremlin strikes again!

All the more reason to suspect the battery. Electrical problems that magically resolve themselves are primarily the result of an undercharged or dying battery in these cars. Put the battery on a tender, have it load tested, and replace it if it fails.
