Default Help with oversized crank pulley upgrade..SVR

Hi all, it's time to shop for mods for the SVR and I have realized after testing some tuning tweaks, that the SVR is pretty close to maxed out via tuning alone. It is time for the best strategy....more boost.

I'm looking for feedback on crank pulleys for the V8 and V6 as I believe that the are the same size to start. The pulleys from Eurocharged and Paramount performance are the only I've found. Both are $$$. Feedback is appreciated!

The Eurocharged and the Paramount pulleys are only +10mm (6.5%). Eurotoys offers a +18mm (11.2%) which I am currently running to get 450hp out of the V6. Give Mike at Eurotoys a call (1-847-464-4000 ). His price for the lower crank kit is less than half that of Eurocharged.

I will share for sure. This is going into uncharted territory, because the TCU on the SVR has different programming that is causing some irritation. Tuning for higher torque is going to be interesting. VelocityAP is working on the tuning for me.

Also, the intercooler maker has no idea if it will fit!!! Nobody has touched an SVR front end yet.

Springs from VelocityAP are also going on with the new wheels.

Thanks Jay! Details on your nitrous setup would be great. I used to use a simple progressive controller and Nitrous Express solenoids, but I've only run a dry setup on my other cars. I would always have a wide band O2 hooked to a failsafe relay, but I'm not sure how so implement that on these cars!

What are you guys using for tuning when making these changes? I only changed the blower pulley ( 1.5 PSI bump) and stock belt but I am interested to see what else you guys are using and what you are using to tune it.

Jaguar/Land Rover ECU Tuning Supercharger Pulley Power. Add the lower pulley and a VAP tune, and you have 99% of what you can get without throwing NOx at it.

Update: crank pulley from MIKE at Eurotoys and the Intercooler upgrade from Viezu in the U.K. ordered (also from Eurotoys).

I received the intercooler yesterday and the crank pulley is going into production.

Your pulley kit will ship out next Tues/Wed. How does the radiator look? It is the same one that Paramount offers.

We offer tuning for these as well, either by sending you a laptop, or sending you a hand-held device that you keep.

The Vswitch hand-held allows you to keep the stock file and switch back & forth for Dealer visits. Also has a Valet mode.

If you add the pulley but don't change the tuning you may not be getting any more boost. Have you logged it to see? I just know that the FType R for example runs 13lbs of boost, SVR runs 15lbs and it is entirely electronically controlled.

So throwing a pulley on would certainly get you more boost lower down, but if you don't include ECU Tuning it's probably just bleeding off any excess boost.

Well on my XFR I did the before and after dunno for when I added the pulley and ECU Tuning Groups tune and it was an amazing bump in power on that V8! No one like this tuner but I had proof their tune netted the dyne and track numbers. I have lots of youtube vids to prove it.

Now I have the XE R Sport V6 which I think is the same as the F Type motor but not sure which tune and pulley to use so I am asking all of you here since the XE guys don't know anything yet.

ECU Tuning Group gave me this quote " Hi, your V6 is detuned to 340hp, we can flash it to the same 380 the F Type and F Pace have and then add another 65hp to that with our tune and pulley to give you a total of 445hp"

I think this route would be good for me if true and the XE should be pretty fast since it is lighter than the F Type?

Can anyone chime in and educate me more on whats available for the V6 version of my XE? It has the same trans as the F Type to so I assume all the F Type mods will net the same outcome?

Hi Mike,

I was always shy from using Eurotoys as a member on here bought your tune and pulley for his XKR and then I bought the ECU Tuning Groups tune and pulley for my XFR and we both went to the same track on the same exact tires and I would smoke his times every since time. So ever since then I was shy to use your tune and pulley but maybe it is has been upgraded since 2012? I really like what you offer and would like to give you a shot since I am doing a dyne before and after to see the gains. I will give you guys a call once I figure out what parts I want to throw at this XE V6

This tune has evolved somewhat over the years, definitely since 2012. I have never heard any negative feedback except for what you just posted. Curious as to what customer that was? Maybe send me a PM.

I called the guy and he said he thought it was Eurotoys tune but when he looked for me he said it was actually a Eurocharged tune so my previous statement is incorrect and I am sorry for the wrong info.
