Hibernation is over
I live in Denver and do donuts in parking lots in the winter…amazing how easy it is even with AWD!
I don't have to store my car for the winter but I live in the Southern California mountains. We don't get heavy snow but this past winter has meant almost weekly rain and snow up to 8"-10". Not like Buffalo or Minnesota but enough to have to get out the snowblower to clear the driveway. And a lot of days with sub-45 degree daytime temps. They don't use salt on the roads here but do dump a lot of sand and gravel and potholes appear out of nowhere. So for the most part, my F Type stays in hibernation in my finished and insulated garage for a few months each year. I have an AWD Mazda CX 5 as a daily driver.
I just gave my Jag a wash and fresh coat of wax and the weather is beautiful again. I'm looking forward to enjoying it until about December.
Why would anyone live in a place where you need to store a car for the winter ? How about because I retired and moved from one of the largest cities in the US that has 300 days of sunshine a year but also has one of the highest costs of living, traffic is unbearable, crime and homelessness are way up and I was ready for a change of pace.

I just now brought mine out of hibernation. Here in New Hampshire, we get a whopping 3 or 4 months of warm weather. 🙄
