Default High Desert Cat...pics.

Hi everyone,

New to Jaguar here from Albuquerque, NM. Avid car and truck nut over the years but never owned a Jaguar before. Also, I have always been a big Corvette guy and have owned a few, so when it finally came time to think about another sports car, I assumed it was going to be a new C7. But then I saw the new Jaguar F-Type at the dealer and it's been a total attack on the senses ever sense...lol.

This past weeked I finally purchase a 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8S with only 5500 miles on the odometer. I found the car at the local Porsche dealership no less...lol. I was trying to buy from my Jaguar dealer since I get my Range Rovers there, but their cars had a lot more mileage and more wear and tear while mine looks like it came right off the showroom. But what really did for me is that the one I purchased is just plain beautiful in the classic looking British Racing Green with the Brogue leather interior.

I can't stop grinning as this car is just plain over-the-top beautiful, fast, and sounds glorious...lol. Hate to say it, but been driving around all weekend with the wife and just loving the attention this car gets.

The car is hard loaded with the Performance Pack, Premium Pack, Vision Pack, Climate Pack, and other tidbits including clear car bra and carbon fiber hood vents, fender vents, mirror caps, and roll bar hoops. The carbon fiber pieces with black trim and wheels works very well with the BRG IMHO.

Anyway, couldn't wait to share so here are some pics (hopefully links are working)!

Insane that that color combo isn't offered on the SVR. British racing green is "the color"..,

Stunning! Welcome. I know I'm partial to the V8s because I have one but there is something about that model I find irresistible and had I not gotten white, BRG was going to be the one. From one "classic" FTYPE owner to another..congrats and enjoy every tail happy second of that beauty.

JD83; sorry, I didn't have any information on the clear bra as it was installed by the initial Jag dealer in El Paso but don't know who they used. Sounds like you a great find too...congrats!

jaguny; thanks for the compliment!

Mbourne; I will, thanks!

I looked all over the state of Fla. to find an F-type that "grabbed" me. Saw the BRG with the Brogue/Ivory stitching just down the road from me in Ft Myers. Now everyone who sees it loves it. Even had a couple of Corvette Die-Hards considering going to Jaguar after seeing mine. The only description is just elegant. Just watch the sun there in N.M. From experience, it is brutal.

Agreed; hard to pull off serious sport car creds and elegant at the same time but Jaguar sure did it. And yeah, NM sun is brutal especially at 5000+ feet.
