Default Homelink garage opener

One of the new R models I ma looking at is missing the Homelink door opener.
I prefer to not have my portable opener loose in the car.
Has anyone suvvessfully fitted an after market Homelink or is there a way to fit an OEM unit?

if you have wifi signal in your garage then you can the myQ smart garage control, you can open/close through the myQ app. its a smart hub that you connect with your current door opener.
it also notifies you everytime your garage door opens and closes. you can program to open/close on certain time and check whether you closed the garage door. also works with alexa and google assistants

Of all the things that are not standard equipment on the F-Type, I find the absence of a garage door opener the worst.

I found this device and will be installing it this weekend if I have time.

Uses a geofence to detect when you arrive and automatically opens the door.

Also has many other features.

In the UK most "standard" garages are too small to accommodate an F-Type so they're parked outside. No point paying for something I'll never use. And most garages in the UK are fully manual as well - you guys are just spoilt!

Hi everyone,

Is this just a plug and play fitment, can I just buy a MY18 mirror with Homelink and swap it over and it’ll work? All power there and no programming needed.

I don’t have auto headlight main beam or Lane assist or speed limit sign recognition, just auto dim mirror.

Does anyone have Jaguar part number?

Thanks
Andrew

Hello, it was plug and play for me. I also have the oem part number in my original post link referenced above. They are not cheap new, I found one on eBay.

Blacks,

thanks for your reply. My car doesn’t have high beam assist, so I wonder if fitment in my car would be plug and play.

thanks
andrew
