Default Hood ornament??

Driving into Boston today (in my Audi) I passed a Jag I-Pace with a leaping cat hood ornament.
I used to have a much more substantial leaper on the hood of my 1983 XJ6 that I was quite proud of at the time.
I just thought this one looked a bit undersized and out of place.

I think we ended up with this lovely Jaguar leaper butt plug with one of our purchases, I think I would rather use that than have one on the bonnet of my car

I think it looks terrible. The leaper looked great on the cars it was designed for, but doesn't suit modern cars in my opinion. Possibly illegal in the UK because of safety issues to pedestrians - ok legally where originally fitted but otherwise I think no. Do see them over here nonetheless, and still look bad!

Each to their own but IMHO that's just tacky. Leapers were ok on Jags half a century ago or more. What's next, wire spoke wheels, white sidewalls and maybe a fake vinyl roof with S shaped silver ornaments on the C pillars?

Hey, two-tone paint seems to be coming back, too.

Well, that certainly applies to wheels!

Regarding hood ornaments - just say no.
