Automated car wash will be out of the question for me and considering I will be applying the Xpel film, high pressure washes will also not do. There aren't any reasonable hand wash places here in Lake Norman so I have done some research and everything indicates for me to try the Griot's Garage products, has anyone used them before and if so do you prefer that over meguiars?

 

Even more critical than the choice of products are the techniques used.

I've used various Griots car care products and find them to be very average. I like the glass cleaner and the car wash is ok. The sheepskin wash mits are also good.

The spray on car wash consistently leaves streaks all over the paint which is visible in sun light on dark cars. Speed shine does the same thing.

Here's what I use after trying lots and lots of stuff

- Prima Car Wash
- Sonax Wheel Cleaner (nothing better, don't miss this one)
- Griot's Glass Cleaner
- Adams All Purpose Cleaner
- 1Z einszett All-Purpose Cleaner: Blitz
- Griot's Sheepskin Wash Mit
- Griot's Waffle Weave Towels (tried other brands they are skimpy in comparison)
- Metro Air Force Master Blaster for drying
- CR Spotless DIC-20 de-ionized water filter system
- Griots Ultimate Wash Bucket
- Griots Long-Reach Wheel Scrubber Brush
