Default how do you know what options you have?

So - I bought used. (2013 s type).

Some options are obvious (the 20" wheels).

Some options are obvious when lacking (overtaking sensors).

Some ain't that obvious at all -

- automatic high beam?
- those lights that move with turning?
- AWD?
- etc etc

Some I will keep trying to work out (automatic high beam), but for AWD I'm not sure if there's anything I could obviously look for ? is there a badge ? any particular controls? or do I switch of traction control and see if I can get the front wheels spinning ?

Congratulations on your new car! Dealer should be able to take you VIN number and provide you with a full list of options.

Now, as with any used car - assume that previous owner(PO) didn't maintain it at all. I highly recommend changing engine oil and filter and changing transmission fluid and filter unless you have documented record of this from PO. Even if you purchased from a dealer, they are under no obligation to correct this unless it is sold as a CPO car.

Hi SinF, yeh you said the same thing about oil, etc on my first post (speed camera alerts) - I agree - hence:

Dealer purchase, and specifically requested (and got) main JLR dealer service just before I picked it up - so all clean bill of health, fluids, etc. And got clean new MOT on her.

I'll pop into my local jag dealer and get a printout of whatever they have - I've got the jag service history already from the one that serviced it (electronic I mean, to back up the booklet which I also have), but be good to get a definitive list of options, etc.

cheers

Don't know about the S-type, but in the US, AWD F-types have an AWD badge.

Message me the last 6 of your VIN. It should start with a "K"

Register on TOPIx https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com. It is free to register for basic vehicle lookups.

Then enter your vehicle VIN (the last 8 characters, or the full VIN). Then click on the little "Show more vehicle features" icon that appears on the summary page.

I have attached some screenshots as an example, and added pink dots next to the features/options you asked about.

A 2013 F Type will not be AWD as it was not offered at launch, but it is listed under Transmission on the main summary page.

The AWD wasn't offered in 2013 (2014 MY car in this part of the world ;-) ) but the easiest check is the hood and related scoops/inserts are totally different.

As far as options go; any dealer should be able to give you a print out of the window sticker.
