Default Lighted Window Switch

The light in the window switch on the passenger side of my 2003 S-Type has quit working. Does anyone know how to repair/replace this ? I am hoping it is a simple process, but really doubt that it is - nothing seems to be simple in repairs of anything.

The car is still under factory warranty (45,500miles, 40 months) - unless it's covered under that, I imagine the dealer would want much $ for this type thing. Appreciate any info anyone might provide. Thanks.

Solved! I called the Jaguar Dealer - this is covered under the Factory Warranty since I am under 50,000 and 4 years. For the record, I believe it requires taking off the door panel to fix it.

Dont quote me on this just telling you experience from a previous car that had this problem. The lights for the switches on that car were little bulbs soldered to the board and to fix you either had to take it apart to the board and resolder the bulb or solder in a new one. Or you had to get a whole new switch assembly. I actually had the switches go out so I had to get a new assembly anyways. It may be similiar on the Jag but I am unsure as I have never ripped apart my switches at all.

....shhhhiat that sounds like a lot work just to replace a bulb, lolz...ahh fudge it if I have to solder etc....I was thinking more in the line of replacing a bulb and taking out the panel to reach it

You can R&R from a reputable auto recycler in your area. You will have to look in JTIS to find out what pins to make the light glow a 9v battery will help you there.
