Default How does the rear wing go up or down manually?

Hey guys I'm a newbie to this forum and just picked up my 17 S . I see there's a button to put the rear wing up or down manually but I can't figure out how this work. I sppologize if thus has already been discussed. I tried the search but don't know if thus is called a spoiler or wing or whatever. Just a minor issue I guess...

I can put mine up whenever I want (no matter what speed or if it is stationary), but I cant put it down unless the can is going less than 85kph. Isnt that the case with all of them?

Only Verts Odd if that's the way it works for your coupe.

Edit: You're outside of the U.S. I think this might be a U.S. only thing.

They're probably less worried there that someone is going to kill themselves (or someone else) by pushing the wrong button that here in the US of A.

I thought someone said that on the coupe it's for pedestrian safety that you can't drive around town with it up. Something about US law and extending past the rear of the deck lid, as I recall.

If it is any consolation, I feel like a bit of a dick if I have it up when I am driving under 80kph.

No... on U.S. Coupes we have no control over the spoiler when the car is moving (up at 70mph, down at 50 mph). DJS, what functionality do you have on the U.S. Vert?

On my 2014 vert, I can put it up/down while driving or while parked. Don't think I've tried retracting it if it's deployed automatically. Never have any reason to play with it, other than curiosity. Once, I remembered to raise it while washing - only once.

Not sure that is the reason. Porsche Cayman in US can deploy the wing at the touch of a button.

Someone in Jaguar's US product planning team can probably explain. Anyone here have contact info or attending any corporate events this year? Just missed the chance at NYIAS.

But does the Cayman spoiler extend past the rear of the bodywork (excluding bumper) when deployed? That's what mattered, as I recall it.

Good point, Cayman does not extend beyond the bumper.
