How to lock doors with bonnet open

I guess heat soak is not such a problem in more temperate zones but a switch or setting would be helpful, our forecast here for Monday is 41C.
I also do have a homemade Faraday cage, I cut the thumb off a cheap ($5) Aldi butchers glove. The fob squeezes in and works even beside the door handle.

If you feel this neccasary, these cars did come with a built in turbo timer . After you park and lock restart the car via the InControl app and it will run for up to 30 minutes. If you think your that hot, set the climate control to 90F/32c. You could also consider investing in a ODB app to better determine if you want to leave the bonnet open.

I think I'll go with the bonnet latch tweak. Seems like a more direct solution but always handy to have options.
Thanks for the suggestion.
