Default InControl Remote app synchs but doesn't control

I got the InControl Remote app synched with my '16 F-Type R. I get location info, security/door/window/roof/lock status, range info, etc., but none of the controls work. The app gives me the option to start remote climate, lock/unlock, and beep/flash, but when I try to activate any of them it says 'Requesting...' for about a minute, then says an error occurred. Anyone else have this issue and fix it? I did reach out to JLR, but I'm still waiting on a response from them...thanks guys.

I have a similar response from using the jag IR app as well as the Alexa app. The lights and needles on the dash indicate an attempt to start but then fails. This doesn’t happen all the time just 50% about. I can do other functions like lock the car or unlock.?

Update to this, if anyone finds it later. Not sure if it just needed some time to figure everything out or if it was some combination of things I did (or if maybe the JLR wizards did something in response to my request and just didn't notify me...), but the In Control remote functions would not work even though the app pulled location, status and journey info with no problems. Went out of town for the weekend and unfortunately couldn't take the Cat, so I set a Wake Up Timer for 3-4 days of inactivity. Came home today, drove the car to the store for a quick trip, then after I got back I tried the remote functions and they all worked great. Maybe the In Control system just needed to go to sleep with the Wake Up Timer then wake back up?

In my experience, I think the car must be driven after the wake up in order for the InControl stuff to work. Rather annoying as it meant I couldn't set a new wake up time when I just tried to "renew" the time without driving the car.
