Injector issue
My F Type suddenly started running rough last week. Dropped it at the dealer and am told it is an injector issue. Suggested I do all three on one side of the engine. They also found a supercharger bushing in need of replacement. Cost: $3900. Anyone else have this problem? 2014 F Type Convertible 26,000 miles. Unfortunately out of warranty.
@Ken Williams, what DTCs are present? Is the MIL on? Is the shop suggesting you replace the injectors on Bank2?
NBCat, the shop is suggesting that I replace one bank as it’s not much more to do the entire side than to do just one. Not sure if that makes sense. Please define DTC and MIL. Check engine light is on and it runs like crap. I’ve never run cleaner through it. Suggestions? It doesn’t get a lot of miles and there are more short trips than long just to get it out of the garage. 26k miles on it so I’m disappointed it needs such an expensive repair.

Get yourself a decent code reader (such as an iCarsoft LR V2.0) to check for codes (DTCs), can save you thousands.
MIL = CEL (check engine light).

I did similar work recently on my supercharged XJ. An independent shop is a good idea, especially if you can find one that lets you supply your own parts. I usually save > 50%.
The injectors can be typically purchased for ~$90 each online. Installation is a couple hours on my XJ. So assuming your car isn’t too much harder, you should be able to have a shop do it for well under $1000.
If the problem with your supercharger is the coupler, as opposed to some bushing, the repair is well documented. The spring-based coupler can be swapped out for a solid oil-filled nylon type. The part is ~$20 online. You also need to buy a few gaskets (~$100-$150 IIRC). The job is pretty involved as you need to remove the supercharger. On my car it took 5-6 hours IIRC. I replaced some coolant pipes under the s/c while that was done. If your supercharger has damage to the snout from the coupler (mine did) you will need to replace the snout. This is what Jaguar always does. That part costs ~$700 online but you can find it cheaper if you look around. At your mileage it is doubtful your coupler has damaged the snout so you probably only need a new coupler.
Good luck.

It seems the fuel injectors on Bank2 (cylinders 2, 4, 6, 8) are more prone to failure as they're a further distance from the high pressure pumps, which are on the other side of the front of the engine.
Use Tier 1 fuel and rotate the brands. A good way to maintain the injectors is using a product such as Techron three or four times per year.
If the vehicle isn't being driven much, keep the battery at full charge by hooking up a battery maintainer. The X351 requires a strong battery to function correctly.
