Default Installation Cost of VAP Lowering Springs

I am wanting to lower my 2018 V6 base [18" wheels] with VAP lowering springs which the shop will sell me at VAP's published price but they want USD1K for installation. Now I know that everything that needs to be done these days [in life] seems to cost a thousand bucks [what happened to everything costing a hundred?], but this seems on the steep side.

Any thoughts from those who are knowledgeable/have had this work performed? Thanks so much!

The Labor time is .9 hours per front wheel, or 1.6 for both fronts, to remove and replace struts...So that X the shop labor rate would be the cost for fronts. Same for rear except time is 1.0 each or 1.8 for both...So for all 4, the labor time should be 1.6 + 1.8 = 3.4 hours.
If a shop charges $150/hr...That should still only be ~ $510.00 +/-. I did mine and can say it is less than an hour per corner (wheel).

Good luck,
DC

I usually do most of my own work, but I was not able to do mine and paid my local shop $100 per corner. The rear takes some time due the interior pieces, but the wrenching is quite minimal overall. The factory springs require some compression, but the VAP coils shouldn't need any compression for installation. I think $600 would kill it (assuming they put the interior back appropriately and seat them correctly).

Just looked it up and mine cost me $450 to install, for what it's worth.

I am wanting to get this done as well but hoping to catch the springs and tune on sale maybe this fall. Everything anymore seems insane. I just scratched the Jag with a box spring falling and grazing a small section behind the door and it ran me over $3000 between the body shop and the re-install of a little PPF and ceramic coat the newly painted section. Pricing seems insane lately with about everything.
