Default Intermittent squeal from brakes

I get an intermittent squealing noise which stops immediately I touch the brake pedal.
Dealer is baffled. Anyone had similar?

I get that on my Wortecs, but only when the brakes are cold after the car has been sitting. First brake application stops it.

Yes, the squeal is actually a high frequency vibration of the pads. I probably didn’t apply enough brake grease to the back of the pads when I installed them. squeal doesn’t last long enough for me to bother doing anything about it.

Thanks for replies. I guess it’s the pads and nothing to be concerned about.

Yep.

When the wife mentions any squeal from her cars' brakes, I tell her "That noise is how you know they are working, Sweetie!"

(We get an occasional squeal from our F...I always hope that the resonance/vibration will shake the dust from the OEM pads off the wheels. So far, NO. )

A while back I had screeching from the right front which turned out to be one of the 3 Torx bolts that hold the brake shield on had unscrewed itself and was rubbing on the disc. Local independent diagnosed and tidied it all up for me.

The screw issue has happened on both of my front wheels - my dealer said they had never seen it before but I know multiple people that have had the same issue.
