Jaguar Approved - Australian Warranty. Any Good?
Looking to buy a used V6S (or possibly R) and I've noticed that many of the ones sold via JLR come with an official Jaguar Approved warranty. Is this equivalent to a new car warranty (or close to it) or is it just another dodgy insurance option with more holes than a politician's pre-election promise? I understand the program is run by Allianz.
I looked at the warranty extension when mine came up late last year, and read the pds. I actually struggled to find anything that was covered by it at all. I am sure that something is covered, but I dont know what it is, as it seemed to exclude virtually everything. And I am usually an Allianz fan, I've had my cars and home insured with them for years. I ended up going with the Redbook warranty extension which is supposedly the same as manufacturers, it was half the cost for twice as long. I think that is now a Carsales warranty.
Hi Peter
Thanks. Is that the same thing as the Jaguar Approved warranty? I'm very, very skeptical of anything offered by insurance (and finance) companies. In another lifetime I worked in the auto finance industry....
Guess that I should read the PDS myself.
