Default Jaguar Electric GT Aims To Deliver True Luxury At $125,000

Jaguar's full-electric GT will launch in the US later this year according to Automotive News Europe, which spoke with CEO Adrian Mardell on Friday. No details of the GT have been announced, with Mardell tight-lipped, but he did reveal that it will start at over £100,000 or $125,000 for US buyers.

From the above article...

The company wants to recapture the days when it targeted uber-wealthy customers in the 1990s and profits were high.

Complete morons. Might as well just sit on the sidewalk in front of the opera house with a tin cup.

Render looks like an uglified f-type. Pass. I'm all for recapturing the past though. Lets start with that XJR9

They will never become a truly serious ultra-luxury competitor to Bentley if their opening salvo out of the gate is a Tesla/Lucid fighter (and those two are well on their way to owning that corner of the market). If ultra-luxury is truly what they want to do, then take a couple years off until the designs and products are right. Imagine if Cadillac tried to reestablish itself in the luxury segment by introducing the Cadillac Cimmaron as its first car (you young'uns can look that one up if you don't remember it). Once you show your hand, it's hard to bluff again.

Not plug ugly, but it doesn't draw me in. I wish the brand luck, but it seems much closer to an upscale Tesla than a Bentley. Is it too late to lend them mine?

It is giving me an oldsmobile aurora vibe...hope they follow MB's move and delay the cessation of ICE's...

Can you imagine an homage to the xj series 3 and perhaps a stripped down F type at under 3000 lbs....that would be wonderful. They'd sell them all.

keep it all under 100k....and over 450hp. Done.

I don't think that is a picture of the Jaguar GT. Every article on the new GT has a picture of the car included. All the pictures are different. Some of the articles mention the pictures are artist renderings others do not.

If you Goggle Jaguar GT many pictures come up. They are all different and apparently all must be artist renderings.
