Default Switch Performance seats to sport seats

So we have a 2016 F Type S, with Performance seats. Both my wife and find them uncomfortable on trips, to the extant that she no longer wants to ride in it! She sat in a car with Sport seats, and found them much more comfortable! I'm wondering if anyone has done this switch, or if it is even possible, given the wiring harnesses for the seat controls may be different? I searched the previous threads, and as far as I can see, this topic has never been discussed!

To really compare seats you should take a test drive in a car with sports seats - I've found that seats that seem comfortable in the showroom are far from that after an hour's drive. Maybe play with the adjustments a bit more before you chuck them out?

Thanks, but no, we've messed with all the adjustments! The seat cushions are hard as a rock, and so are the side bolsters, when even at their widest, dig in to you!

I've been wanting to do the opposite. I have sport seats and keep looking for a set of performance seats that aren't rediculously priced. Mine are black by the way. Also a 2016 S.

Sound like you two need to meet in Sturbridge with a set of tools and swap seats.

You'll run into issues with the airbag system due to the sideair bags.

Correct, the occupancy module is VIN coded.
JLR seats are known to go flat. Dealership should be able to replace the padding.

I'm not sure if this would work, but maybe you could take your seats to an upholstery shop and have them redesigned or more cushion added in the places you need it.
