Hi everyone,
just bought a used 2017 Jaguar F - Type and have had it for a few weeks now. Its been good to me but today noticed a strange issue. Today, when I opened the driver door, the door began scraping the edge of the hood. it is the area where the edge of the hood meets the edge of the door on the driver side. This issue has not happened before and wondering if its because I parked at a decline? I was wondering if this issue has happened to anyone and might know a potential solution?

 

Did you open and close the hood to see if that straightened it out.

 

I had this for a while in the summer. Seems ok now. The bonnet was closed correctly, I think it may be to do with expansion in the sun. Odd and annoying.

 

I also suspect the hood isn’t latched squarely. Should be under warranty if that isn’t it.

 

If that isn’t the problem, a minor adjustment at the hood hinge on that side will be sufficient to resolve the issue.
