is this app usable with all modern jags or do i need to have "something" installed?
i have a 2015 F type S with a lot of options installed.

I think it only works from 2016 on

I have a 2015 too, the incontrol app is listed in the infotainment system. I have wondered if the car has the software but not the hardware. I have been told too, it only started in 2016

I just got mine setup today and have a 2016. Just call Jaguar and they will let you know. Thankfully the hold time was minimal.

 

I think the InControl media apps support came out a bit before support for the InControl Remote app. The '15 may have had the media app support (which is pretty weak, anyway), but I also have read/heard that '16 was the first MY for the InControl Remote hardware support over the car's LTE modem.
