Default lame horn strategy?

Hello, I think that one of the lamest features of the f type is the horn. The exhaust note is brilliant and competes with Lamborghini but the horn is about on par with a SmartCar.

Have you done anything about the lame effin horn on your f type? For lock/unlock the horn should prob be replaced by a beep/double-beep from a viper alarm or similar. However, for manual horn honking in traffic have you simply accepted the fact that your horn sounds like a vagina or have you taken measures to improve the overall sound and presence of your horn?

Who cares about the horn? Hit the revs if you want to get someone's attention. Ever hear a Ferrari's horn? **Beep Beep**

I actually removed the horn to save a 5 pounds. That sucker is heavy!

If it's anything like the XF's horn it is a bit wimpy. Something to do with English civility.

I've never thought about the horn sound but after your genital description I may never think of it in the same way again

There certainly are... I finally used the Ignore feature, so I don't see anymore of his posts. Unfortunately, the feature doesn't hide thread titles on the Thread listing page, so I still have to mentally sort through and skip over the lame subject matter.

Unhappy But where is it?

I just failed my MOT on the F-Type S because the horn is not working. This I suspect might be a simple fix with a bad connection at the horn end, but can anyone tell me where it is? (no, I can't sound it and trace it - I tried that lol)
If anyone can let me know I would be v. grateful. I have looked through the grills and cant see them, I have taken three of the engine compartment covers off and they are not under them. It's a mystery to me?
Help!
Cheers
Jon

Mine did that - I found that the fuse wasn't properly seated, pushed it in and all fixed. In my MY18 it's F3 in the right side engine bay fuse box.

Good thought SCM, but alas, no cigar. I just wiggled every fuse and relay in the box, they are not numbered, so did them all, no joy I'm afraid. Do you know where the horns are actually located?

Therock - brilliant! Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for.
I have been on some forums in the past without much luck, but you guys are really quick and helpful. Much appreciated.
I shall be up at sparrows tomorrow and have that cover off for a peak.

I replaced the horns on a previous car with Hella Supertones, but haven't been motivated to upgrade on the F-Type. I rarely use the horn, but find it adequate.

Ah! First World problems. Who cares? If it makes a noise, it's doing what it's designed to do.
Be thankful you don't drive a Mercedes. I'm sure the horn on my A45 AMG goes via the Canbus because there is a noticeable and measureable delay. You hit the button, the message travels to the processor which goes into deep thought and then fires up the horn.
By this time, the hazard is gone (or has hit you.) It's impossible to do a 'pip pip' to, for example, thank a tractor driver for pulling over to let you pass. You strike the horn button twice and nothing happens, so you press harder and let out a loud blast, which is mistaken as and angry response. I leave well alone unless required for imminent danger.

I remember some Alfa’s having a switch for Out of Town Horns. The Alfa Montreal certainly had one.
Then the Latins do tend to drive on the horns!

Sadly, nothing there either. Removed the cover, there are only cooling matrix bars and space (and not much of that!). Its not quite like the PDF. Maybe they are not working because someone stole them
Am thinking maybe I have to go to Jaguar.

Growing up, our Mom's Renault Dauphine had a City and Country horn selector.
