Maybe it got whacked, and they put on a 'new' one at the dealer?

Well the drivers side 2016 piece is an abortion on a lighter colored car...how did Ian Callum sign off on that,it absolutely ruins the lines...and appears like it's added 300lbs to the car!

We have a winner!!! I'm not 100% if all 2016 models use the larger side skirt, but the passenger definitely has the side skirt from the 14' and 15' model years and the drivers side is the new 16' AWD piece.

Now the dealer has to order a replacement panel under warranty, which will obviously take a few days and delay delivery further. Its shocking to me that this was built wrong at the plant, missed by the end of line inspection, missed at the port inspection, missed by the dealership in Naples, FL, and missed by my dealer in Troy after telling me that the side skirts and rear diffuser looked good in white and I should consider not having them painted gloss black. Thank goodness I agreed to come down and check for myself, because i spotted it instantly. My guess is this was one of the first cars down the line for MY16 and the guy on the right side didn't quite have things down right yet.

Its not all bad though. I obviously had a chance to compare the 16' skirt to the 15' side by side and I now know that I HATE HATE HATE the look of the 16' skirt. They will be ordering the drivers side in MY15 spec. for my replacement at no cost to me. I likely would have done this anyways after a short time, so I can't complain too much. The side skirts will be painted gloss black as well as the rear diffuser to match the 15' models. I'm also contemplating doing the hood vents, but haven't decided yet.

Personally, I don't like either version, although the 2016 looks 'worse'.

Kinda reminds me of how they used to 'refresh' a trans am 4 years into production.... I don't think the car needs the sills really.

Well considering you're doing exactly what I'd be doing if I were in your shoes...I'd say you came out pretty good on this deal, all things considered.

Agree 100%
MY2015 sills are sleeker than MY2016 - good choice on your part.
Hate the matching body color skirts - agree that Gloss Black is the way to go.
With the MY2016 relocation of the Hood Louvers, not sure Black is a good idea that far forward on the hood. I might stick with OEM version there.

+1. The running boards on my Land Cruiser are more appealing than those on the '16 Design Pack. I am glad that the V6 cars are still available without the running boards.

phew, I'm glad I cancelled my Design Pack order as well. It got added automatically when they added the Black packs originally and I only noticed a week before the order closed that Design Pack was added. Not worth the extra $3.5K imho

Agreed, they look good on a dark car because they become more or less invisible, but I still prefer the body shape without them.

Your car looks great!

This doesn't say much for Jaguars quality control or final inspection.

I think they are fine on dark car, why heavier people wear mostly black!

Alls well that ends well. At least you're getting the chance to customize for free.

Note sure about painting the hood vents though. They look more like part of the hood rather than a contrasting accessory part on the AWD.
