I have seen exactly two in the wild - a white coupe on 495 in DC, and a black vert in central va.

I see more McLarens, Ferraris, Lambo, and high end Audis than I do F-Types.

Of course, I see a bazillion Mercs, BMWs, Corvettes, and "custom" Mustangs.

I do love living in the area because as a car guy, it doesn't get much better!

For some reason I tend to attract other F-type owners. Parked last night for dinner in a far away spot deep in a garage, came back out to this.

As rare as they are, maybe they were looking for mates!

Same number for me: 1 on Wisconsin Avenue and 1 on I-95 between Baltimore and DC (my daily commute).

In all of Norway there are sold 12 F-types, and only 2 of those are R + my R that I will pick up first week of June

I've only seen one in the wild, a green V6S convertible w/ Virginia plates in downtown DC just off Independence Ave, behind the Air and Space Museum.

Only seen one in the Detroit area - white, probably a '14 since it was well over a year ago, in front of me crossing Woodward in Bloomfield Hills.

Stohlen, I hope to see your car after it is finalized for you. I want to see how the trim looks and, if I may be so bold, possibly copy you on the gloss black older model sills. My office is within a mile of the Troy dealership and I drive by it every day, so I will keep on eye out on it.

BTW, I think they should be storing it indoors for you. It was sitting out and not even in a gated area when I stopped by for a look the other day.

Since I picked up my car in December 2014 I have seen only one other Ftype. A Salsa Red convertible on the road in front of the Daytona speedway. Didn't see the plates so do not know if it was local or a tourist but I have not seen it since. Like being exclusive. Every other car here is a BMW and the parking lot where I work looks like a BMW and Mercedes dealership.

If you stopped by Monday it was outside for me, since I was there looking at it. Not sure if they kept it inside otherwise, but I'd assume for some time because of the work they were doing to it. Tho, I can't really complain, probably sat outside for weeks at the port.

My theory on why you see relatively few F-Types compared to Ferraris, Lambos, etc. is because the F-Type is a brand new model. If you combine 360, 430, 458, Calis, etc. then you have decades worth of Ferraris. Whereas the F-Type is basically a 2 year old car (1 year old if you only count the coupes). This situation is even more pronounce if you consider something like a 911, M3/M4...

Not too endangered... 1332 of them sold in the US so far this year... F-Type sales are UP UP UP over last year.

I am currently in LA on business. In two days I have only seen one Ftype and that was yesterday driving from Santa Monica to Malibu on PCH. It was a white convertible headed in the other direction. Was it any of you located in the LA area? It was about 2:00 pm. Saw plenty of other luxury sports cars of course but only two Jags. The Ftype and an XJ.
