About to purchase a custom set of wheels and I have seen offsets all over the board. What have you found to be the perfect offset for Factory width (9/10.5). I love a more aggresive stance, but also would like to lower my car a bit and not have to worry about scraping the fenders. Was thinking 25 rear, maybe 42 front. Feel free to post your offsets and widths with pictures of that show off that stance compared to the fender. Thanks guys!!!! Just picked her up last week with 10k miles......lets the projects begin.
Off topic but I noticed your license plate frame. I've only ever used them for service (bought my car across the country) but they've been pretty good on that end. How was your purchasing experience from them?
Up until last year they were the only Jag dealer in the state and fortunately there's been nothing to complain about.

Actually , I live in Seattle. The guy I purchased the car from lived in Park City and this is where he got his car. I am thinking he buys a LOT of cars from Them....As when I arrived to Salt lake, we drove to the jag dealer, where they all knew his name and we picked the car up from service and inspection.....then drove the car to the Audi dealer where they finished the title on the car for him (and all knew him), as he was using my money on a down payment for a new RS avant...lol. But all and all they seemed like a bunch of nice guys at the audi and jag dealers.
I already looked at that thread...yes saw lots of pictures of aftermarket wheels... but not many side shots of how they fit (people too busy showing off the wheel, not fitment) and only a few listed offsets.

I would suggest the perfect size/offset for 20" below. This is from a wheel calculator I made with Excel. The reason I like this is because it gets the wheels almost perfectly flush with the openings and does not rub when lowered with VAP Springs. All taste, so do what works for you....These sizes get you flush. I used info from spacers in my SS, but the net offset is what you would want to get close to on AM wheels (without 15mm spacers).

Meathead, DC specifies the perfect offsets for any suspension height as long as you don't upsize to 305 wide rear tires. They will rub (ask me how I know). If you are considering 305s, then go with a 28 offset.

And since I got it all dialed in with spacers, tires, springs, and alignment...No rubbing at all. Very happy with the set-up.
I'll add my 2 penneth worth as i have very extreme offsets, front is 34 and rears are 17 lowered on h&r springs.
Did it rub yes it did lol but only in compressions, so luckily my mate who owns his own tyre shop knows a company called arch enemys.
You know where this is going, anyway the guy came out we looked at the wheel arch and lip and decided that there was plenty of meat on the lip to grind back 8-10mm.
It was scary to watch but he did a first class job even coating the edges with rubberised coating.
Anyway heres the only pics i have for now.
I'd be concerned about loosing fender rigidity by removing that much gusset meat. But, since you can't see those fenders from the driver's seat anyway, it really doesn't matter if they flap in the breeze...

Its fine Unhinged, the bonding goes up the wheel arch.
Its as rigid as it was.
