Lexus LC 500
#41
Old thread I know, but I rode in an LC 500 yesterday and I must say it was nice. Not brash, loud or as fast as the Ftype R, but more of a luxurious cruiser. For what it is, impressive. Mint examples already out there around $70k. In a year or two sub-$50k used bargains might be tempting. Depreciation is similar to the F-Type. First two years are the sledgehammer, the remaining years are tolerable.

I went to look at an LC500 when they first became available, and I was highly unimpressed with the interior. It had very odd pieces and finishes that I would have a hard time learning to love. i think Lexus styling throughout the whole line is just plain terrible, and it wouldn't be on my short list of replacements someday to my X150 XKR. Too ugly.

It was just a lot more solid and the interior seems of much higher quality than I was expecting. If I was making a 900 mile highway journey I would definitely prefer it to the F-Type, but the FT is much more raw car and I prefer something that is more 'sports car' than Gran Touring car. That will probably change when I get older and more frail. Nice nonetheless.
