just drove Ohio to New HampshirePulled out and noticed this dark spot under the car. Car has only 300 miles.

 

Car was driven only 15 miles today. I drove Jeep to New Hampshire, sorry for any miscommunication. Liquid does not smell that I can notice.

 

Did you have the A/C on?

 

Highly doubt it. It was 30 degrees here. Defogger on. Don't think it is AC.

The AC compressor runs when the defogger is on, on just about every modern car made in the past 20 years. The water vapor in the air inside the car condenses on the coil and drains out of the car.

You can tell if it is water by seeing how long it takes to dry. Oil or other car fluids will not dry and will be slippery or have a color. If this was coolant, it would be slimy and have a scent.

 

Give it the ol' taste test, I bet it is water from the AC.

Most cars AC compressors are not "on" if the temp is below 45F. You say it was 30 degrees. Might not be condensate.










OK boys, chime in on his now and set me straight.

 

This morning went out and it was completely dry. I feel like an idiot, how do I delete this board? Hahha. I'm just paranoid for obvious reason. Brand new, dream car, equals worry about everything lol
