If this is really the case (and it seems like it is), then I honestly have to say I was indeed severely misinformed. For me, car ownership is a full experience, not just limited to buying the car but also extending to routine service as well as when you run into problems; these elements have to be compared to those of competing brands, which in Jag's case are Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. If this experience is the norm rather than the exception, I really doubt I will ever buy another Jag--I have strongly considered the AMG-GT and may well jump for that when I next change cars.

I have absolutely no complaints with either of the Jaguar dealers I use in NY or CT - despite buying from a totally different dealer in NJ. The one on CT is a newly constructed facility using the JLR Arch architecture design. It’s an equal of anything you get from BMW or MB showrooms

Both have gone out of their way to be helpful with warranty and service work offering me either a ride to the train station or even to my office 7 miles away if I didn’t request a loaner.

I wouldn’t say the expectation has to be low with the brand.

If anyone does, please speak up!
First service due and I've been dreading taking it in with all the horror stories... I know that we are a small (and vociferous) subset of the whole, but I think we, as a whole, are probably more knowledgeable too. Yelp review of all five (yes, five!) dealer in the bay area do not get great Yelp reviews. Again, there is a bias to review bad service over good, but dang, can't someone do it right?? Niello in Sacramento seems a little better but I really don't want to take my car 120 mi to get serviced. (I know some of you ~wish~ it was only 120 miles, sorry!)
