Just wondering if anyone knows where it is located?

As ridiculous as it sounds...its located in the exterior driver side exterior mirror assembly.

That's where it is on my C30. It's much more sensitive to direct sunlight that the sensor was on my previous car. On that it was above the bumper, behind the grille. I find my C30 reports quite high in hot weather.

Thanks WhiteTardis. That makes sense. In my last BMW it iwas in the fender well and gave more accurate readings on startup. This car requires a few minutes to get the reading down.

Heres the kicker. If the temperature sensor fails, the ENTIRE mirror assembly needs to be replaced. I'm not kidding.

Late model Land Rovers have the sensor in the left side mirror too.

Earlier model Jags had the sensor in behind the front bumper.

I'm trying to think of a better location on the F-Type. I can't. There aren't many choices away from engine, drivetrain, brake, and exhaust heat.

I'm sure I could find a way around that.

You could always just duct tape one of these to your mirror!
