Where is the MAP Sensor on an XJR?
Hi Donzi,
I'm attaching two pages from the 2004 Technical Guide that should help you find the MAP sensor. The diagram shows the supercharged engine as viewed from approximately the driver's seat. The MAP sensor is Part 9 in the diagram. It's tucked down behind the throttle body near the EGR Valve, Part 7. I can see why it would be hard to find!
Cheers,
Don

UPDATE!
After removing the air plenum, I was able to feel (not see) the MAP sensor, the connector was unplugged! By feel only, I was able to plug it back in...and now NO check engine light and no P1108 code!! Very happy!!

Is this different to the Workshop manuals? If so, do you have the Technical Guide for the N/A, please? I would like an N/A version of that S/C diagram!

Yes the Technical Guide is different from the Workshop Manual. See pdf pages 90-91 of the document below for the N/A diagram:

The drawings in this Tech Guide are of better quality than those in the Workshop Manual and are also better at showing exactly where the parts drawn are located. I think this is a valuable aid to the Workshop Manual and perhaps should be included in the 'Stickies'?
