Did you tune the TCU as well or are you shifting manually in sport?

Tweaked the TCU as well but I drive in manual 99% of the time

Can you provide any tunes for the TCU remotely? I think there would be a lot of us, with ECU remaps and tunes, who could benefit. Hoping it can be done through the OBD II port!

I worked with ZF to modify the TCM and that was along with a 900Nm upgrade. You can slightly decrease the shifting time, on the V8 WITH a 900Nm transmission, you can then enable launch control but realistically unless you increase the rev limiter, there is no real point in tweaking the TCM. I only increased the rev limiter because I was confident that the decrease in rotating/reciprocating mass, the increase in bore leading to a supersquare engine allowed it safely.

I believe that VAP was working on this, I would reach out to them if they provided you with tune etc.

Thanks for the response, I believe VAP increase the rev limiter in all of their tunes to about 7,000 RPM. My objective would definitely be to just take advantage of that when driving in auto, not really about the shift times. Will follow up with VAP though

I have successfully remapped the TCU for my MT to take full advantage of the increased rev limit.

The most cost effective way to increase Torque at the wheels is to use a lower gear.

Going with Cell 100 cats helps also if one wants to keep cats (mandatory in many states for emission visual inspection). ECU Tuning is required to maximize the benefits and keep the CEL off.

Water/meth injection helps also with cooling, not only to aid in pre-ignition detonation. As a side benefit you also get clean intake valves. I use the Snom MAF/MAP controller unit from Snow Performance. All you will need is two small holes in the upper intake manifold cover and tap the holes.

---- SIDE NOTE for V6 owners ---
I have been reading of people swapping out mid-pipes with ones having an X pipe or with the one from the V8. DON'T! Not only it brings no benefit in terms of power to a V6 but it actually increases the exhaust temps. On V6 engines, the single best way to evacuate hot exhaust is to swap out the muffler with straight pipes (and they sound nice), not raspy as claimed.
where did you put the tank for your water/meth and how big is it?
