Default Loud or louder?

As I reported a while back, the exhaust valve actuators on my car have become detached. The valves are free to move. I was wondering what they do now.
Do they flutter or remain in one position being forced by the flow and is that open or closed?
Not bothered, just curious as to what they may do. I can’t tell if they are open or closed since I can’t remember what they sounded like when working correctly.
Just wondered what the team thinks.

if you aren’t worried about proper functionality, should just wire them up in the position (open or closed) of preference.

Lance yes thanks but I’m not bothered how it sounds, I am curious as to the gas flow now. Just wondered what the valves do now that they a free to move.

I would guess that would depend on the location of the butterfly pivot pin. Best answered by holding the engine at a steady 2-3k and observing the status of the valve. I have a wooden stake I cut to length that I wedge between the seat and the throttle. I can then use the fore/aft seat control to adjust engine speed.

It’s not like I leave it in gear when I do that.
