The side view mirrors on our cars create significant blind spots going into corners and making turns. Is anyone aware of an aftermarket sport mirror with a lower profile that would reduce the size of the forward looking blind spots?

 

I have not experienced/noticed forward blind spots from side mirrors. Have you tried adjusting your seat position to sit a bit higher?

 

I have forward blind spots in the pillars, surprisingly a lot of things can hide behind the pillar because of the aggressive angle. I try to be extra careful in my turns due to this. Almost hit a pedestrian once, because honestly they were completely hidden.

 

+1. The pillars are worse than the mirrors.

 

Have you considered sticking your head out of the side window while driving?

 

Sometimes, thats why I keep the top down as much as humanly possible.

+1. I've not ever encountered any blind spots in the close to 3 years I've driven the car; certainly none greater than any other car (I've had).

 

Our dog does that all the time! Yes, in the F-Type.

 

The pillars have bigger blind spots than any car I've owned before. That's just me. I have to be extra careful in the ftype.
