Lowest price I can get on a 400 sport?
Hi All,
So I've been in the market for an F type for a while and while I've found a few good examples of used F types around, Im seeing now that the price on new F types is falling.
If thats the case, what do you all think is the best price I can possibly get for a 400 sport or R dynamic? As far as I know, almost none of these cars are going for sticker.
Distance is not a problem.

You can't order a brand new 400 Sport any more, it has now been discontinued.
But there are probably a few near new / barely used / dealer demos around and if distance is not a problem you should be able to find a good deal on one.

Monroeville Jaguar, located just east of Pittsburgh, had a black convertible F type 400 in their showroom last week. As I remember, it's sticker was just over $100K, but I'm sure you can see it on their website. I just bought my Type R there last Wednesday and saw it in the showroom. There was an $11,000 rebate from Jaguar (or a crap finance interest rate of 1.99%....now that's a no brainer!) on my Type R, and it or something close to it, I believe, was on the 400. I was told Jaguar is trying to help the dealers dump their inventory because the 2019's are being released sometime in the near future.
FWIW, my local dealer has a black on black sport 400 coupe marked down to 89,500 from 102K, maybe they'll go lower... On the other hand for that money you probably should be getting a discounted 'R'.

Not really as others were buying these in the low $90Ks back in November of '17. I had just barely missed an IDENTICAL white vert SVR for ~$93K at that time or financed lease @ .00003 MF for ~$98K
Actually closer to $40K but yes, I was just pointing out that there were some deals made and if one was looking into this vert SVR they may want to check out lease swap or other places where buyers at that time might be willing to sell or flip for about $10K less. Heck, for $85K, I'd buy out my lease balance and sell them my R w/3K miles & save them $18K & they'd have nearly the same car... well, mine is a coupe & it's red and ... nevermind. LOL!!!
I guess what I was really trying to say is that they should lowball that one with a $90K offer and they just may be happily surprised
