Made the Jump from V6 S to V8 R
Well guys, I've loved my V6S AWD in Storm Grey as a lease for 3 years and 6 months....I was going to buy the car....then I figured for a little extra why not get an R. So I've bought a 2017 R AWD 17k miles CPO in Dark Sapphire.
Being delivered early next week.
Looking for some feedback on what to expect. Anyone else had the pleasure of driving both models? I've never actually driven an R...hasn't been one at my local dealer for a while. I heard one in person at a car show over 3 years ago.
Thanks all!

With R, you have to be more careful stomping on accelerator, as it is easier to lose traction. You also have to be more careful into corners, as extra weight at the front makes car less balanced. R is also much faster in straight line acceleration.
If your R comes equipped with stock Pzero tires, get MP4S tires right away.

I have never seen that color in person. In pictures, it's stunning.
Expect to get horrible gas mileage at first, and then unbelievably good mileage with the cruise control on humming along the freeway.

I made the same switch almost two years ago - from a 2014 white S convertible to a 2016 white R convertible. Other for some minor aerodynamic changes and the exhaust, they looked just alike, but the differences are amazing. You won't be sorry!

I can't see regretting this decision.
I'm a RWD v8 owner and have moments of serious jealousy for the AWD's. Quicker, more sure footed, if you live where it snows, there is that. I sometimes console myself with an 1/8 mile burnout. And while I am sure I would love a v6, especially a manual, I've never thought the downsides of a heavier car outweighed the bliss of brute force and ignorance.
2 cents.

I hope you enjoy your V8R.
I've never driven any V6 F type, I know they are slightly lighter and their fans will tell you they are better balanced and this benefits handling.
The foregoing may be true but the extra 170 bhp of the V8R is going to more than compensate I would suggest.
