So, I pulled the trigger. Sold the XKR and ordered a 2016 F-type S, 6 speed gearbox. Ammonite gray, rezone interior, premium + vision pack, 19" orbit gloss black & diamond turned. It was those wheels or the standard 19" propeller. decided on the orbits.
Anyway, I got a great deal through TrueCar. $6500 off MSRP, plus (I hope) the JCNA incentive, if it comes back. Expected delivery 12/25/15. Merry Christmas, right?
Anyway, if the JCNA deal does return, it's applied at delivery, correct? Or does that need to be settled when ordering?

Ordering a car does not mean you've bought it. Only a bill of sale does. As part of the rebate process, JLR requires proof you actually bought the car, that is, a copy of the bill of sale. The rebate is awarded after you jump all the hoops including the dealer forwarding the necessary paperwork to JLR which can only happen after you buy the car and take delivery.

Specifically, the incentive is applied at time of delivery before the dealer enters the sale into the JLR sales system. At that time, the dealer must have a pin that they get verbally from the regional Jag rep after providing the rep with your JCNA membership number.

Beautiful car. Check out the Storm Grey, I know it's a little bit more money, but it's darker, richer looking and it's still early to change order if you wanted. But that's just my opinion, and you can't go wrong with any color. Try and get your dealer to come down to the JCNA deal if it's not available. Worth a try, but $6500 is still great.
