Brooklyn?Battery Tunnel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

While I cannot provide F-Type footage, I can say I've blasted through this wonderful tunnel - with some wonderful cars in my past - countless (hundreds) times.

 

Sweet! There are a ton of tunnels around SoCal but they are all average in length. Still plenty long enough for some fun but that tunnel looked epic.

 

OK, who's is going to set up a road trip and hit a ton of tunnels? Seems like a LOT of them are back east...

Not! Not even close. But is this a tunnel - low ceilings, two small lanes, some twisties, and 2.77 miles - or is this a tunnel?

ADDENDUM: While I've had many wonderful "runs" at very high speeds in this tunnel, they were almost all pre-9/11. While there were cameras in the tunnel throughout all those times, I never had any encounters with the law. These days I have serious doubts that that would be true today. I suspect that any car driving at excessively high speeds in the tunnel - especially if you're headed to Manhattan (versus in the other direction towards Brooklyn...and even then) - might be met with bazooka's pointed in your direction upon exiting.
